Variants
Variants reach your store as combinations.
You define the variant axes (size, colour, material) in the PIM, and when you publish they sync as combinations in PrestaShop and export as variants in Shopify format.

Questions about catalogue management
Do I need to create families before I start?
No. You can import your catalogue exactly as it is and work with base attributes. Add families whenever you want to require different attributes for each product type.
Can I have different copy for each store and language?
Yes. Every attribute can have a value per channel and per language, so your French PrestaShop description can differ from your Spanish Shopify one.
What are calculated fields?
Attributes whose value comes from a formula based on other attributes: price including VAT, a title built from brand, model and size, or a measurement converted to another unit.
